Crimea, being an Autonumus republic, is the part of Ukraine. It has the Supreme Soviet, Council of Ministers, the Supreme and Arbitration courts, local representative and state authorities. The capital of the Crimea is Simferopol, that is also an administrative, industrial, economic, scientific and cultural center.
The Crimean peninsula has the territory of almost 27 square metres (It is little less than Belgium or Gaiti). It is situated in the Black Sea in the South of Ukraine. In the north it borders by Perekopsky rampart and Sivash, in the north-east by Arabatskaya Strelka and in the south by the Hero-city Sevastopol.
Geographically, the peninsula is divided into two parts: flat steppe and mountain wood with big number of rivers (most of which are just 10 km of length and only the river Salgir has length more than 200 km). Also there are a lot of fresh lakes, beautiful waterfalls and mountain springs.
